Conﬁguration Name Section

Conﬁguration

Name

This ﬁeld contains the names of conﬁgurations created for devices of the

same type as the device you selected in SpectroGRAPH or in the ECM

Components dialog box.

In the device speciﬁc window, conﬁgurations are indented under the devices

they conﬁgure. In this window, you can see all the device speciﬁc

conﬁgurations in the selected landscape(s). You cannot see shared

conﬁgurations.

In the shared window, conﬁgurations are nested only under the landscape

in which they are stored. In this window, you can see all the shared

conﬁgurations in the selected landscape(s). You cannot see device speciﬁc

conﬁgurations.

If the option Auto Expand Landscapes is OFF, the list is collapsed — only

landscape names are visible. In this case, you have to double click on the

landscape name to view the conﬁgurations stored there.

Version Number The version number helps you track the modiﬁcations of conﬁgurations.

Whenever you modify and then save an existing conﬁguration, ECM always

increments the version number.

If you specify (in the Preferences window or the resource ﬁle) that Save

should overwrite the existing conﬁguration, the Save operation overwrites

the conﬁguration and increments the version number.

If you specify that Save should create a new conﬁguration, the Save

operation creates a new conﬁguration and increments the version number,

leaving the existing conﬁguration unchanged. Version numbers begin at 1.

Load Status This ﬁeld shows the most recent load status of the conﬁguration.

The load status can be one of the following:

L = Fully Loaded

— = Not Loaded

P = Partially Loaded

R = Rolled Back

You can deﬁne the sort order of conﬁgurations by selecting one of the Sort

options in the men bar View menu. If you specify Sort by Load Time, then

Loaded conﬁgurations appear at the top of the list, next Partially Loaded

and Rolled Back, and ﬁnally Not Loaded, in that order.
